From Oats to Loaf..

Porridge bread is a simple and hearty loaf that offers a delicious twist on traditional bread. This type of bread often includes cooked oats or oatmeal. The addition of oats also provides a nutritional boost, as they are a good source of fiber and essential nutrients.

The resulting bread is versatile and pairs well with both sweet and savory accompaniments. Whether toasted and spread with butter and jam for a wholesome breakfast, or served alongside soups and stews for a satisfying meal, porridge bread is sure to become a staple in your kitchen.

We’ve taken inspo from our time with Enda (@nutrienthealthcare) and have added this to our weekly bakes!

RECIPE:

  • 500g Porridge

  • 500g Greek Yogurt

  • x.2 Eggs

  • 1 tbsp Chia Seed

  • 1 tbsp Flax Seed

  • 1 tsp of Salt

  • x.6 tbsp of Raw/Whole Milk

METHOD:

  • Preheat oven to 175°C.

  • In your mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients.

  • Add your eggs, yogurt and milk and mix.

  • Knead the dough and place on a greased baking tray. Bake for 50-55 minutes.

Serves 12

Store in airtight container (4/5 days) or suitable for home freezing.
